Some practical information

  • The Metod cabinet frames for this unit are joined together and screwed together from the inside.

  • Doors: our doors are pre-drilled to fit the Metod cabinet frames, so you will need 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased from Ikea) per Plum Living door.

  • Drawers: This project can also be made with Plum Living drawer fronts and Ikea Maximera drawer rails.

  • Sides: The top cover panel of the cabinet is screwed on from the inside of the cabinet frames with 25-30mm screws.

  • There are no side panels here, as this unit is built in between two walls. If the unit is not glued to a wall, a 39x40cm panel is required at each end of the unit.

  • Cutting: For this project, only the plinths need to be cut to make the side returns.
