Some practical information

Cabinets: Lucie used 40x80cm Metod cabinets simply placed on Metod legs sold by Ikea and hidden by a plinth.

Doors and hinges: our doors are pre-drilled to attach to Metod cabinets. Plan for 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased at Ikea) per 40x80 cm door.<

Sides: The finishing panels that dress the top of the sideboard are screwed from the inside of the cabinets with 25 to 30mm screws. So that this project fits perfectly into the available space, Lucie also planned an additional 15x80cm finishing panel, which was installed as a filler, between the wall and the cabinet, as well as a 39x80cm panel installed as a side panel, on the other side of the furniture.

Cuts: To reproduce this project as is, you will need to cut your 39x100cm panel (to 39x96.6cm) before installing it on top of your sideboard, next to the 39x160 panel.
You will also need to cut one of your plinths into 3, in order to create a 39cm plinth return - here placed on the right side of the furniture - as well as an additional 16.6cm piece to be placed at the front of the furniture.
