Some practical info
- Doors and hinges: our doors are pre-drilled to fix directly onto Ikea Metod cabinets using Utrusta hinges. For this project, you could also opt for drawer fronts, using Ikea Maximera rails.
- Sides : our cover panels hide the sides and top of Metod cabinets and are drilled in place from the interior, using screws measuring 25-30mm.
- The angle of this banquette was created using a Metod cabinet measuring 80x40cm, part of which is inaccessible.
The interior of the cabinet remains accessible thanks to a second door measuring 40x40cm.
- Feet : This banquette was placed directly on the floor, slightly elevated using little pads, to stop the doors from dragging on the floor. To make the banquette higher, you can add Metod feet (8cm) screwed in to the bottom of the cabinets.
- Cuts : To recreate this project, you will need to cut cover panels measuring 39x143cm and 39x180cm to the size of your seating area. For aesthetic reasons, we can cut the panels at a 45° angle.
