Some practical info
- Doors and hinges: plan for 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased at Ikea) per 60x40cm door. For such a project, you can also replace the doors with drawer fronts, to be fixed with Maximera rails.
- Sides:the finishing panels are used to hide the sides and top of this bench, they are screwed from the inside of the cabinet. If your layout goes from wall to wall, you won't need them.

- Cuts: To carry out this project as it is, only the plinth will need to be cut. If you only plan for one side panel, your 39x183 centimeter panel will need to be cut to 181.6cm. This panel can be replaced by a 39x180cm panel, if you do not plan for any side panel.
- Legs: As Metod cabinets are not initially intended to have legs attached, you will need to screw them directly into the hard part of the cabinet, using 1.5cm screws. You can also choose to lay your bench on the floor, slightly raising it with small felt pads so that the fronts do not rub on the floor.
