A two-tone wardrobe for kids - practical information

Some practical information

  • We used two Metod cabinet frames of 60x40cm and 60x80cm, suspended on a Metod rail fixed to the wall.

  • The dowels and screws to use to fix the rail depend on the nature of your wall (concrete, plasterboard) and the final weight to be supported. Ask your DIY shop for information!

  • Drawers: our drawer fronts are pre-drilled to fit Ikea Maximera drawer rails only.

  • Doors: our doors are pre-drilled to fit Metod cabinet frames.

  • Hinges: 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased from Ikea) per 60x80cm door

  • Sides: The side cover panels, which cover the sides, are screwed on the inside with 25-30mm screws.
