Some practical info

  • The Metod cabinet frames are suspended on a Metod rail fixed to the wall.

  • The dowels and screws to use to fix the rail depend on the nature of your wall (concrete, plasterboard) and the final weight to be supported. Ask at your local DIY shop!

  • Doors: Our doors are pre-drilled to fit the Metod cabinet frames.

  • Hinges: 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased from Ikea) per 60x40cm door.

  • Sides: The cover panels, which cover the sides, are screwed on the inside with 25-30mm screws.

  • If your arrangement is wall to wall, there is no need to use cover panels for the sides. You may need a 15x240cm cover panel to create a fillet and hide the empty space between the cabinet and the adjoining wall. This will reduce the budget!
