Élise Chalmin needed storage space in her little boy's bedroom. She opted for 58 cm deep Pax cabinet frames, which she dressed with our smooth doors in Vert de Gris matt lacquered to match the wall and the alcove. At 236 cm high, the wardrobe doesn' reach the ceiling, to keep all the charm of the original cornices.

Some practical information

  • Doors: our doors are pre-drilled to attach to the Pax cabinet frames. They go down to the ground and cover the bottom of the cabinet frame.

  • Hinges: plan 3 Komplement hinges (to buy at Ikea) per door of 201cm and 4 hinges per door of 236cm.

  • Sides: cover panels are used to hide the sides of the cabinet, they are screwed by the inside of the cabinet. If your layout goes wall to wall, you won't need it. You may need to create a spinner to hide the empty space between the cabinet and the adjoining wall.

  • Cuts: No cutting required for this project.
