How does Plum Living work?
Say goodbye to lacklustre interiors and hello to furniture that’s as individual as you! Plum Living designs and creates custom fronts, accessories and paint that bring your Ikea kitchens, wardrobes and furniture to life. All it takes is a few clicks, and your idea becomes possible.
What items can I buy from Plum Living?
At Plum Living you’ll find cabinet doors, drawer fronts, cover panels, handles and plinths specifically created to work with ‘Metod’ and ‘Pax’ cabinet frames. Plum Living’s doors replace those that are available at Ikea. This is our expertise. Everything else, whether it’s hinges, drawers, cabinet frames or legs, need to be purchased from Ikea.

Is it possible to design my kitchen with Plum Living?
Yes! We know there’s a lot to do: measuring your room, fitting in all the cabinet frames, leaving enough space for your fridge, cooker and dishwasher…designing a kitchen is a full time job! Our Plum Planners are experts in designing kitchens and know the ‘Metod’ range inside out. You can now reserve a video-chat appointment of 1 hour 30 minutes to design the kitchen you’ve always wanted by clicking here.Following your appointment, you’ll receive your Ikea design and your Plum Living shopping list: all that’s left to do is get started. Our planning service is available for 49€.
How can I order my Plum Living items?
Once your design is finalised thanks to Ikea’s kitchen planner tool, you’ll be able to see a list of all the door fronts and cover panels that you’ll need. Once you have this, you can order all your decorative items on Plum Living’s e-shop. If you would like to receive a precise quote before ordering, be sure to check out our quote page.
Your order will be delivered within 6-8 weeks from the date of payment. Check out our delivery page to see your delivery period according to your order date. What do I need to order from Ikea? Everything else! In order to avoid multiple visits to Ikea, check out our “Ikea Checklist”. To prepare for the installation of your kitchen units, take a look at our Builder’s Brief (for Metod or Pax systems).
How can I find someone to install my kitchen?
We have partnered with Needhelp, which is a platform that puts customers and interior design & renovation professionals in contact with each other.
On the Needhelp website, you will be able to find a variety of experienced tradesmen, many with the certified ‘Ikea badge’. Ikea themselves use the Needhelp platform, and recommend that their customers use the website to find a professional to install their kitchen.
What information does my tradesman need to know?
First thing’s first: Plum Living’s fronts are pre-drilled and attach to the cabinet frames in exactly the same way as Ikea’s own fronts. The tradesmen recommended by Needhelp are totally independent, and are happy to install Plum Living fronts.
