What sets our lacquer apart isn't just its formula. It's the way we monitor it. Every week, our fronts undergo a rigorous series of tests to ensure that the quality you receive today is the very same you'll receive tomorrow.
Nothing is left to chance. Each week, production is subjected to a battery of tests: scratch resistance, resilience against everyday household chemicals, colourfastness under light, shock resistance, and tolerance to temperature variations. In practical terms, we check that red wine, hot coffee, bleach, or nail polish remover left on the surface for an hour leave no trace whatsoever. When it comes to abrasion, our lacquers perform two to three times better than industry standards require.
Underneath the lacquer lies a dense and stable MDF panel, chosen for its durability over time. It is 100% sourced from Europe and meets strict quality and sustainability criteria.
Our in-house colour laboratory allows us to fine-tune each shade precisely and reproduce it faithfully from one order to the next.
The French factory that manufactures our lacquered fronts also works for brands such as Leicht, Poggenpohl and Eggersmann, leading names in high-end European kitchens. The very same exacting standards, with the very same attention to detail.
The cardboard and cushioning used for transport are 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. The strapping contains 30% recycled material, making for packaging that is fully recyclable once it arrives at your home.
This technical requirement is part of a broader approach: Plum Living has been awarded an EcoVadis Bronze medal and is among the companies selected to join the Entreprises pour le Climat (Businesses for Climate) initiative.
