• Our fronts are entirely lacquered or veneered with natural wood sheets: front, back and edges!
• The fact that we use sheets of real wood explains the slight delta in colour or grain that you may notice among our projects.
• The Ushape handles on our fronts are made from solid wood and glued to the medium panel.
• In terms of VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions, for a lacquered or veneered Plum front, the emissions come mainly from the medium. We have chosen to cover these panels with a layer of melamine between the medium and the finish (lacquer or wood veneer) to limit emissions. What's more, our medium density panels are CARB 2 certified, an American standard that is twice as demanding as the European standard on maximum VOC thresholds.
